BGI Named Among Top 5 Sustainable MBA's |

Fast Company has named the Bainbridge Graduate Institute as one of the top five Sustainable MBA's in the US, along with Presidio, Michigan, Yale, and Stanford. Here is what they had to say about BGI.
"The Seattle Times profiled this starter in the forming of the Green MBA, one of the first schools (if not, THE first) to actually develop and incorporate sustainability into each course within their MBA curriculum to offer an true Sustainable MBA. Winona LaDuke is the Bainbridge Graduate Institute’s Commencement Speaker for 2010 |

Bainbridge Graduate Institute (BGI) is pleased to announce Native American activist and Executive Director of the White Earth Land Recovery Project, Winona LaDuke, as speaker for its 2010 Commencement Ceremony on June 6th, 2010.
Commencement for BGI’s 2010 graduating class for the MBA in Sustainable Business and Certificates in Sustainable Business and Sustainable Entrepreneurship and Intrapreneurship will be held Sunday, June 6th, at 4:00 pm at Seattle’s Convention Center, in conjunction with Green Festival, the largest sustainability conference in the Pacific Northwest.
Winona LaDuke is a long time activist who, in addition to directing the White Earth Land Recovery Project, is also Executive Director of Honor the Earth, a noted author, environmentalist, economist and was Vice Presidential candidate in 1996 and 2000 on the Green Party ticket. LaDuke was inducted into the National Women's Hall of Fame in 2007.
BGI President, co-founder and former Fortune 100 consultant, Gifford Pinchot III commented: “Winona is a warm and caring human being. In her previous visit to BGI as Change Agent in Residence, she electrified students and I am delighted that she is back again to deepen the relationship with BGI.”

Bainbridge Graduate Institute Earns Federal Financial Aid |
|
Bainbridge Graduate Institute (BGI) in Washington, known for its pioneering MBA in Sustainable Business, announced on Wednesday April 7th that they have been approved to participate in the Federal Title IV program. BGI is now able to disburse federal student loans to all of its eligible MBA students.

BGI Launches Evening MBA Program |

Bainbridge Graduate Institute is thrilled to announce the launch of its pioneering MBA in Sustainable Business in an evening format based in downtown Seattle starting in Spring of 2010.
BGI's Dean of Academic Affairs, Scott Schroeder, commented "Extending our MBA to Seattle is an important step in a broader plan to grow BGI as an Institute, position BGI as a world class business school, and enhance our urban presence." In addition to the Evening MBA, BGI also anticipates expansion of the Certificate programs in Seattle to help meet those objectives.

Bainbridge Graduate Institute (BGI), the first graduate school in the U.S. to offer an MBA in Sustainable Business, announced Tuesday August 18, 2009 that they were awarded an initial grant of accreditation through December 31, 2012 for the MBA in Sustainable Business, Certificate in Sustainable Business and Certificate in Sustainable Entrepreneurship and Intrapreneurship from the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS).

We all know that Gifford and Libba Pinchot, along with Jill Bamburg and Dr. Sherman Severin, came together in 2002 to build an educational institute that would educate the sustainable business leaders necessary to meet challenges of the 21st century, including climate change, clean energy, local living economics, and sustainable industrial development. Part of the story that we don’t all know includes the voices and visionaries behind the scenes who influenced the entrepreneurial idea that went on to become Bainbridge Graduate Institute. One of those visionaries joined BGI during the February 19-22 Intensive weekend: Amory Lovins.
